In other unrelated news I’m having a hard time deciding whether or not to let Tina cut her hair. You see she has quite beautiful and when it gets long she looks lovely. But she wants to get it cut. Now I don’t want to be that guy. You know the one that tells their partner what they can and can’t do. But I love Tina’s long hair…Now I know the simple solution would be to tell her that and then let her make her decision. But with her things aren’t all that simple (one of the reasons I’m so attracted to her). She can easily see past the charade and would know that I don’t want her to cut her hair. You know if you saw it you would understand my situation, but for now I think I’m just going to keep my mouth shut.

So our little band had a show this weekend and it went very well. Since we are all already good friends and we all have naturally appreciable musical talent, we can play almost anything we want.

So I’ve converted my bathroom into my new office. Kinda. It’s just got a great flow and an even balance of chi and aura. Or Perhaps it does. Nah I’m just kidding (I’m not one of those people). But I have found that it is very comfortable and for that reason I have decided to make it my new work place and let me say, it has been working out great. The loud fan drowns out all other noise and being able to lock the door allows me to block out all other people. Primarily Texas Toast because he has been on this annoying  ”I must play monopoly and scrabble with everyone” phase. No to say that I wouldn’t beat him into shame, but that’s not what I’m about and I would rather leave that to Rex because it is his job to be a jerk. But I truly have completed almost twice the work I normally would. The bathofficeworkroomplace is my new favorite room. It is not simply just for work. No, you sickos, not that. It is also a great place to blog, read, meditate, build models, etc. I love it. P.S. I am currently writing this in the bathofficeworkroomplace. Take it in. Take it all in, because soon I will have to go back out into the world. The cold, cold, ugly world.

In other news I purchased an Anthrax CD yesterday. They have always been one of my favorite bands, but I noticed I did not have any of their CD’s. That’s sad. So I went to the exchange and texted my friend, asking him which Anthrax CD he thought was the best. He never replied so I ended up buying a “best of.” Now anybody who has ever bought a “best of” of a band that they truly like knows this is CD buying suicide. Fortunately this time the CD was actually pretty good and legitimately had all of my favorite songs on it. This rarely happens. Don’t chance it like me. EVER.

In other unrelated news today is the last game of the season for Tina’s little league and I suppose it is how I will be occupying my day. Other than that I have to run around two snowmobiles to make sure they are firing cleanly, because next weekend me and David have some business up north, in which we will be using them as our main source of transportation.

I’m considering being a new bike and not sure what I want. I love the one they used in the movie “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” but I’m not even sure what it is. I own a 1976 Kawasaki KH250 and 2009 Ducatti Monster, but I have been considering buying another pre 80′s bike to cruise on or a Motard. With a motard I could slap on some road tires and cruise or I could slapon some off road tires and be a master of the back country roads. The pre 80′s street bike? Well they are just awesome. Both would be great new additions to my inventory, but I really don’t know which one I want more. Anybody with any input is welcome, so let me know what you would. Much obliged.

Now onto the next subject. Heroes. We can broadly define heroes, each of us having our own version of what believe is a hero. But this isn’t  middle school report on what we believe is a hero. I love asking people what they think is a hero because of all the different definitions out there. There are people who think a hero is someone running around with a cape locking up bad guys, then there is the more sentimental view of a hero, say the firefighters of 9-11. Whatever it is you believe, you know that a hero does good. But then there is the argument: what is good? what defines a good action as opposed to a bad one? The answer is view point. For example, we believe terrorists are evil and the “bad guys.” But their brothers and families believe they are heroes fighting for a holy cause. Just like they see our soldiers as evil oppressing “bad guys,” we see our soldiers as heroes. I know it’s hard to look at both sids of the coin, but before you decide what someone is, look at why they are doing what they are doing. A man is shot in cold blood. He was shot while robbing a home because a father was defending his family. See how a couple details can turn the story around? It’s hard for some people, but just think. Just sit and think.

I started to take up drawing again thanks to the strange dreams I have been having. I’m really not much of an artist but I can say that our mechanic was not offended when I drew a picture of her. It wasn’t that bad of a picture either. I really do love drawing people and other miscellaneous things that just pop into my mind when I’m bored. Usually the music I’m listening to dictats the drawing as it does with my stories.

On a note that is positive for the most part. I am quitting smoking. It wasn’t for my health. It really wasn’t even for Tina (although she did hate it), but it was mostly for a family member that had passed a while ago. I know they would never want mo to have given in to such a filthy habit so for that reason I am deciding to quit. 

Speaking of family, my team are my closest friends and family. I really just realized this not too long ago. We love each other and until you’ve been in the sam situations as us (and trust me you haven’t) you won’t ever understand how close we are.

In other news. Tina joined an “underground street women’s basketball league” and yes, I do go to watch the games and they are awesome. It’s like watching a bunch of goddesses…play basketball. It’s pretty hard to explain, and it’s allure must be seen to be understood. The best part is yelling from the stands like a soccer mom and embarrassing my fiance though.

One of the best parts of being away from home was growing out my beard. It’s fabulous. And all the ladies love it. Sorry Tina. 

Lastly, I’ve been having these really strange dreams about my first fiance and my daughter that passed away. I see them, but there are subtle differences in their appearance and they don’t seem to recognize me. The dreams are strange and they are kind freaking me out because there is no sound…Fun fact: starting this blog was a suggestion from my therapist. The truth is I’ve come to love this blog though and I’ve come to love some of the people I have met. Stay strong everyone, because you never know what’s just down the road.

On to the matter at hand though. Me and Tina reached that “stale” point in our relationship. It’s not that we got bored with each other, or rather it is. It’s hard for me to explain this without sounding heartless and indifferent to our relationship. We still care about each other very much, and more so, want to stay together. But a couple nights ago we had a long talk. The kind of long talk that gives long talks their reputation and makes you hate them (the long talks that is). So she decided she needed to quit her job. The one with me. The freelance one where there is the whole team mentality going on and whatnot. She made this announcement on one of the most pivotal nights of the week too. Tuesday night. Now tuesday night is clubbing night and incidentally, one of the only times we are all together (as in everyone in our little group, team, workforce, etc whatever you want to call it). It was a grand announcement, sounding something along the lines of “I’m quitting and now I’m going to be the ‘stay at home’ team mom!” Everyone ways somewhat sad, knowing we would have to hire yet another “new guy.” But the most sad out of everyone was Texas Toast. Don’t ask how he got the nickname. You just don’t want to know. I’m pretty sure he cried a little, and since he’s a mute, his tears spoke louder than his words that night. He told me to write that…Anyway all is good now and I am looking for a new member to the team.

Searching for a new team member is probably the most rewarding, but hardest part of my job, and I hate it. I hate it a lot. For me the risk and reward don’t exactly weigh out evenly. Like when I hired Rex. He talks too much even though he is very talented at what he does. His skill barely makes up for the amount of garbage that pours out of his mouth every minute of every day. I don’t even have any candidates picked out at the moment and they are becoming increasingly hard to find. Someone will turn up, and for the time being we will be fine without them.

So bought a couple things at the exchange yesterday. I’m gonna have to attest to the greatness of that store for a moment. It has movies, music, games, game systems, skull candy headphones, T.V. series, and other miscellaneous items. There is no other store that I need to go to except this one.  Because Tina buys the groceries. I purchased the games Rage and Wet for the 360, and Two new cd’s. I havent played Rage yet. The third person shooter feel of Wet is like a combination between Prototype, Borderlands, and Wanted: Weapons of Fate. Or at least thats how I see it. I’m not really getting sucked into the story like I want to be when I play a campaign oriented game. Some of the game play is a tad bit corny too, making me realize why it was a $9 game. I don’t hate it though and plan to finish it, because it does have some fun parts to it and the unrealistic acrobatic combat is actually pretty cool. This being said to perform some tricks in the game, the controls are pretty different and finding the right angles and what not is sometimes difficult. Overall I would give this game a 7 out of 10 so far…The two new cd’s I bought are both great though. They are from opposite sides of the spectrum, giving me more variety to my vast cd collection. The first cd purchase was “I Do Not Talk” by Childish Gambino. I absolutely love this rapper, and he is one of the most talented I have ever heard. This cd has a lot of songs that can be applied to situations in my life, and for that I love it. I have played the track “almost there” for Tina and you know she loved it. There is really no one quite like him, and I praise him for his talent and uniqueness. The other CD I bought was Lights Out by UFO. My friend said once I bought this cd I would throw out all of my Led Zeppelin cd’s. Of course he was wrong about that. I have found a knew love for UFO, but Zeppelin will always be my first true love. They are an extremely solid classic rock band and I think everyone who loves classic rock needs a UFO cd in their arsenal.
